Beautiful post. I lost my father suddenly 1.5 years ago so I resonated with a lot of this. Inna lilahi wa inna ilayhi rajioun indeed - seeing our parents leave before our eyes really sets that in. The previous barzakh series really helped me grasp that death is just a doorway to the next stage in our journey back to Allah. Love Imam Omar Suleimans Ramadan series every year. May Allah swt grant your father Jannatul Firdous and may you continue to be sadaqah jaariyah for him until you reunite in the best of places. ❤️ Never stop writing sister, you have a true gift. ❤️

Your writing made me really tearful. My father is extremely dear to me and my pillar of strength. It sounds like your father too was an amazing man and very beloved to his daughters. I pray that Allah grants him Jannatul firdaus and that the children he left behind be a beautiful abundant source of sadaqah jariya for him. Ameen ya Rabb. I truly cannot envision the day when I will be parted from my parents, our biggest blessings on this earth. May Allah also allow us to lead righteous lives so that we may all reunite with them all in the best of places *hugs*
